HARGIS. Barbara A. (nee Deem) Beloved wife of Merrel Hargis for 40 years. Devoted mother of Tonya Arens, Jeff, Kevin & Mike Schleben and Ellis Hargis. Cherished Nana of Tamara, Anton, Jeff Jr., Josh, Ashley, Justin, Amber, Barry, Brooke and Arabella, great grandmother of Peyton, Rileigh, Jonathan & Xavier. Caring sister of Nancy, Ann, Joseph & the late Dolly. Also survived by other family and friends. Passed away suddenly Friday, March 10, 2017. Age 73. Residence Norwood. Nana was the backbone of her family, who not only raised her children but her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and was a surrogate mother to so many of the great residents of Norwood. She was truly a servant of God who selflessly gave to anyone in need. She will be cherished and remembered by so many for her kindness, unconditional love, compassion for all and her beautiful smile. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 14 from 5-8PM at the Naegele, Kleb & Ihlendorf Funeral Home, 3900 Montgomery Rd, Norwood, Mass of Christian Burial, Holy Trinity Church, Montgomery Rd/Drex Ave, Norwood, on Wednesday, March 15 at 10AM. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Pink Ribbon Girls, 15 South Second St., Tipp City, OH 45371.
