Celebration of Life will be held at the St. Paul Lutheran Church, 106 Maple Street, Reading, Ohio 45215 on Saturday, July 24, 2021 from 1-4PM

Bonnie Ann Wilson (nee Woebkenberg), beloved wife of David K Wilson for 47 years, passed on January 30, 2021. She was 78 years old. Bonnie loved her family with all her heart and her husband, David, was the love of her life. Bonnie was the firstborn of Harry B. and Bonnie (Emma Moulliet) Woebkenberg, Jr., both of whom preceded her in death. Bonnie is also survived by her siblings, Diana (the late Joe) Campbell, Sharon (Guy Kemp) Faust, Mary Lynn (Lexie Blansit) Woebkenberg, and Harry B. (Carla) Woebkenberg, III, cherished nieces Kristy (Nick) Georgiton, Stephanie (Chris Grandy) Woebkenberg, Amanda Bryant, nephew Bradley Wilson, adored great-nephews Owen Koerner and Webb Grandy and great-nieces Grace Koerner, Katie, Ally and Sophie Georgiton, brother-in-law Michael R. Wilson, special friends Mark, Carletta, Serena (Joe Ratterman) and Caleigh Jacobs, and Kathy McConkey.

Bonnie attended Saints Peter and Paul Elementary School and her beloved Mount Notre Dame High School. She then dedicated eight years of her life to God’s service as a Sister of Notre Dame de Namur, teaching at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Glendale, Ariz., and graduating with a B.A. in chemistry from Arizona State University in Tempe. She also earned an M.A. in secondary education and administration. The job she loved most was teaching all her “kids” math and science at Reading High School, which she did for 35 years, also serving as chair of the Math Department. Bonnie retired in 1995, but never one to sit idle, she worked at Macy’s for 15 years, retiring again in 2010.

Bonnie and David loved to travel, especially internationally. They belonged to an “Elder Hostel club” with friends Roger and JoAnn Kersh and Don and Marge Parks. They also regularly attended a “Breakfast Club” with other Reading High School retirees. Her friends were most dear to her, even those she made in high school.

In the last several years, Bonnie had several health challenges, and David was her most devoted caregiver. On behalf of Bonnie, David, and their family, we would like to thank everyone who prayed for her, as well as those who cared for her, with special thanks to her personal physician Kellie K. Smith, M.D., the administration and staff at Otterbein, the ICU staff of Southview Medical Center, and the staff at Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties.

Due to COVID restrictions, services will be private, but a public celebration of Bonnie’s life will be held at a future date.
