Dorothy Mae Blust

Dorothy Mae Blust, 80, of Batavia, Ohio, left us peacefully on Monday, November 11, 2024 at hospice. A beloved daughter, sister, aunt and friend, Dorothy will always be remembered for her love for family and her beloved dogs. 

Born April 5, 1944, in Cincinnati, OH, the daughter of Dorothy and Dellmas Blust and the oldest of 5 children: Del (Judy) Blust, Dennis (Sandy) Blust, Darlene (Tom) Whittington, Denise (John) Wheeler. Dorothy was preceded in death by her mother Dorothy, father Dellmas, her youngest sister, Denise Wheeler, and her niece Meaghan Wheeler. Dorothy never married or had children of her own, so her nieces and nephews held a very special place in her heart. Dorothy was also a very devoted dog mom, and loved them as if they were her children.

Dorothy worked for Ford Motor Company for over 30 years. She proudly retired from Ford in 2000. 

Dorothy is survived by her brothers, Del (Judy) Blust, Dennis (Sandy) Blust, and her sister Darlene (Tom) Whittington, as well as many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Please join us for a Celebration of Life from 10:00-11:00am on Monday, November 18, 2024 at the Naegele, Kleb & Ihlendorf Funeral Home, 3900 Montgomery Rd, Norwood, Ohio, followed by a procession to Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 11000 Montgomery Rd, Cincinnati, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Louie’s Legacy Animal Rescue, in Dorothy’s name.
