ROETTGERS. Jerome "Red" Beloved husband of the late Virginia M. "Ginny" (nee Holmes). Devoted father of Donna (the late Tom) Loos, Tom (Cindy), Joe (Dee Dee), Jim (Priscilla), Steve, Dave (Becky) Roettgers and Susie (Randy) Waters-Roettgers. Cherished grandpa of 11 grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren & 8 step-great-grandchildren. Caring brother of the late Rosemary Osterman, Ann Brinkmeyer & Maddie Gerhard, also survived by many other close relatives. Passed away Thursday, September 29, 2022. Age 98. Residence Norwood. Jerry is the former owner of Cordes Lumber Company. He is also a proud POW Army veteran, having served in WWII as a staff sergeant and received the Purple Heart and Chevalier De La Legion D'Honneur (French Medal of Honor). Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Trinity Church, Montgomery & Drex Ave., Norwood, Friday, October 7, 2022 at 10:30AM, where friends may call from 9AM until time of mass.
