John "Jack" W. Brown

BROWN. John W. "Jack" beloved husband of Nora C. Brown (nee Murphy) for 67 years, devoted father of Cynthia ( the late Ron) Cravens, John Brown (the late Jo Ann) (Paula Bratton) and the late Karen C. Brown, loving grandpa of Steven L. Simiele Jr. (Ron Hirth), Pete (Jennifer) Ceruzzi, Nicole (Jimmy) Riddle and John R. Cravens, cherished great grandfather of 5, dear brother of Robert M. Brown, Rita Brinkmeyer, Mary Jane Bauer, Carolyn Macke, Virginia Edginton, Dorothy Denney and the late Mildred Manion, also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Jack was a retired Captain from the Norwood Fire Department after 28 years of service. He also served with the 11th Airborne Division. Jack was a member of the Norwood Eagles #449, Eagle Village #3171, Norwood Moose #301, American Legion, Bradenton, FL and Elks Lodge-Manasota, FL and the Norwood Irish Shamrock Club. passed away on Monday, September 7, 2015. Age 88. Resident of Bradenton, FL, formerly of Norwood, OH. Mass of Chrisitan Burial, Holy Trinity Church, 2420 Drex Ave., Norwood on Saturday, September 12 at 10AM, where friends may call from 8AM until time of mass.
