John Daniel Halloran, II, beloved son of Judith Halloran and the late John Frank Halloran, passed
away suddenly on May 17, 2012 at his residence in Norwood. John was a big man, a kind and
gentle man, who was sometimes referred to as the gentle giant. He had such a big heart and loved
children, especially his grandchildren. He was loved by many, and touched the hearts of all who
knew him. John was an avid lover of muscle cars and raced many times at Edgewater Race Track.
He loved to work on cars, and came to the aid of many friends and family when car repairs were
needed. John also was a pro arm-wrestler at one time, as was many of the Halloran family were.
Through the years he acquired an enormous amount of trophies. He stopped wrestling to spend
more time with his grandchildren, as they were the most precious things to him: his heart and
his life. He felt blessed to be able to be close to them, along with his beautiful daughter, Amanda
and son, John Frank. After his father's passing, John became the caretaker and center of the
family, he was our 'Rock', and we all remained very close to him. His passing is a tragedy and
he will be sadly missed and mourned by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his
mother, Judith Halloran; his brother, James Halloran(Cathy); his sister, Mary Halloran(Doug);
his sister, Judith Robbins(Danny) , his sister, Bernadette Watzek(Chris), his precious daughter,
Amanda Halloran(Nick) ; son, John Frank Halloran II; his grandchildren(and pride and joy),
Madison, Nicklous, Caiden, and Mason. He is also survived by his aunt, Angelina 'Sue' Hill(Jerry);
and aunt, Deborah Halloran; his uncle, Joseph Halloran(Kathy); and he was preceded in death
by his father, John Frank Halloran; his uncle, Gillis David Halloran; uncle, Daniel Joseph Halloran;
his aunt, Marilyn Halloran; his uncle, James Alvin Wiggs, and his grandparents, Angelina and
John Halloran. He is also survived by many other wonderful aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces
and nephews, and many wonderful friends. We pray for Johnny, and we know that he didn't
pass alone, for Jesus was holding his hand. We know he was greeted in heaven by his father
and all of our beloved family members taken from us. What a joyous reunion they are having
in heaven. We loved him very much as he was a beautiful, tender and loving man. Visitation
will held at the Naegele, Kleb & Ihlendorf Funeral Home, 3900 Montgomery Rd, Norwood, on
Tuesday, May 22 from 4-8PM, funeral services will be at the funeral home on Wednesday, May
23 at 10AM. condolonces at www.naegelefuneralhome.com.
