Laura LaRue (Tucker) Tegge

Beautiful Laura LaRue was born on August 13, 1982 to her loving parents Scott and Eileen Tucker. She grew up in Milford, Ohio along with her two younger sisters, Beth and Hannah. She attended Milford High School. Following high school, Laura went on to pursue a bachelor's degree at Miami University. While at Miami, Laura made many friends and received her degree in Business and Marketing. One very special friendship was that with Jessica Postel. Jess and Laura have been as close of friends as friends could be. Laura, Beth, and Hannah have always considered Jess one of their sisters.

Following college, Laura traveled abroad, participated in mission trips, worked to help the homeless of Cincinnati, and became an avid runner. She fell in love with Daniel Tegge of Cincinnati, OH. On July 31st of 2010, they were married outside her childhood home on a beautiful, warm summer day surrounded by family and friends.

In their 12.5 years of marriage, Laura and Daniel blessed the world with 6 beautiful children, Eloise, Amos, Joel, Samson, Charity and Jairus. They have raised their children with overflowing love and tenderness in Norwood, Ohio. Laura was an amazing mother and her children were the light of her life. She dedicated herself to nurturing and training the children that she was blessed to care for. Laura saw her role as a mother as an opportunity to not only educate their children in their home, but as a way to raise them up in the way they should go. She created a home for her family which was filled with joy and worshiping the Lord in all things. Her legacy will live on through all her children for generations.

The Tegge home is a lighthouse to family and friends, full of warmth and great kindness. Most importantly, they are a family of unwavering and inspiring faith in Jesus Christ. They believe in loving one another with intentionality, grace, and selflessness.

Laura and Daniel built a close community of friends in Norwood and would host these families in their home to celebrate their shared love of Jesus and encourage and support one another through the many seasons of life. This group of friends has been so special to Laura and Daniel and has become a second family.

To her friends, Laura was loyal beyond measure. Her best friend, Jess, put it so well when she said, "You never had to wonder how much you meant to her. Laura made sure you knew you were treasured through her prayers, encouragement, generosity, and intentionality."

Laura was also greatly invested in her friends and her community. In addition to meeting with and hosting her house church, she regularly met with the homeschool community and cared deeply for Norwood.

Laura and Daniel also invested a lot of time with their families. They made a point to attend family dinners on Tuesday evenings at Laura's mother's home. Laura loved her family dearly, and her relationship with her sisters and parents was treasured.

To everyone who knew her, Laura was a source of wisdom and encouragement, always pointing others to the light of Christ. She was firmly rooted in her identity as a Child of God and her gaze was fixed on Him. She spent time each day in His presence, orienting her mind and heart to the truth of His Word. From that place flowed the faithfulness and grace with which she humbly served Him and those around her each day.

Laura was a visionary with an amazing eye for design and color that would effortlessly bring new life into any space. Daniel and Laura recently created a renovation and design business together that reflected the strengths of their family. Their beautiful home was always a testament to both Laura and Daniel's God-given gifts. Laura loved art, flowers, baking, and worship music. Often you could find her in the garden on a sunny day, spending time with her children or her mother, sharing in their love of God's beautiful creation.

Laura was a Child of God, a beautiful daughter, a supportive older sister, a caring friend, a devoted wife and an incredible mother. Her love and light will be fondly remembered by so many.

She is survived and missed by her loving husband, Daniel; children, Eloise, Amos, Joel, Samson, Charity, and Jairus Tegge; parents Scott and Eileen Tucker and two sisters Beth (Jeff) Warren and Hannah (Austin) Clark, as well as beloved extended family and friends.

Family and friends are welcome to attend a celebration of Laura's life. The service will be held at Vineyard Central church in Norwood, OH at 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time.
