LaVerne M. (Berding) Shaffer

LaVerne M. Shaffer (nee Berding). Beloved wife of the late John "Jack" Shaffer for 64 years. Devoted mother of Jay (Jan) Shaffer, Ann Shaffer, the late Mark (Huong) Shaffer, Cindy (Tom) Huber & Jon (the late Becca) Shaffer. Proud grandmother of Justin, Heather, Rowan, Chris & Bronwynn, Cherished great grandmother of Frances & Oscar. Dear sister of the late Norbert, Marian & Donald. Adored daughter of the late Edward & Augusta Berding. Passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, March 19, 2021. Age 96.  She was a homemaker, seamstress, world traveler, fan of the arts & music and life long learner. Her last selfless act was to donate her body to science for others to continue to learn. The family wishes to thank Vitas Hospice and Visiting Angels of Cincinnati East. To the ladies of Team LaVerne, Christine, Jacqueline, Judy, Kathleen, Kay & Robin: Thank you for your dedication, support and patience!
