Born in a house on Desmond Street in Madisonville on November 24, 1919, Marie was the oldest of five, having two brothers George and
Robert and two sisters Lorraine and Elisabeth. The family lived in and around Fairfax during her childhood. Marie married Clifford Dunning,
August 16, 1939 and moved to Roe Street where she resided until her death at the age of 96. Marie and Cliff had two children Kathleen
(Rich Jackson) and Kenneth (Sharon). Clifford preceded Marie in 1989. She is survived by her children, five Grandchildren and nine
Great-grandchildren. Marie worked in the dry cleaning business for years and eventually bought her own store located in Oakley.
During that time she served as president of the Oakley Chamber of Commerce. She was involved in church activities, Eastern Star,
Daughters of America, and was a Guardian for Job's Daughters. She was also involved with Knights Templar Commandry planning and
preparing dinners and crocheting afghans, stuffed animals and all kinds of crafts. She did sewing and made clothes for family and friends.
She very much enjoyed playing Bingo. She was very involved with the Eye Foundation. She was very independent and she was very loving
and was dearly loved by her family and friends and will be greatly missed. Services will be held graveside at 1:00pm on Thursday March 3rd
at Arlington Memorial Gardens 2145 Compton Road 45231. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Cincinnati Eye Institute
