Peter P. Graham, Cincinnati, OH, died peacefully on June 22, 2024 after a long series of medical challenges. Born October 31, 1939 in Boston, MA, Peter studied Industrial Management and graduated from MIT in 1961.
Peter joined Procter & Gamble immediately after receiving his degree. The following year he married his college sweetheart, Mary Ellen (Pentes), and they began their family together. Peter took great enjoyment from his 37 years of employment with P&G (Boston, Long Beach, Baltimore and Cincinnati) where he rose to the level of Vice President before retiring in 1998. His interests included classical music, history, reading, travel with family and friends as well as golf and skiing.
Peter served on a number of Cincinnati based boards including the President of Living Arrangements for the Developmentally Delayed (LADD), The Cincinnati Consulting Consortium, Hamilton County Developmental Disability Services, Cincinnati Opera, along with MIT Sloan Dean’s Advisory Council, MIT North America Executive Board and President of the John’s Island Club in Vero Beach, FL.
Peter is predeceased by his parents, Margaret (Coleman) and Paul C. Graham, and his brother, Mark (Helen) Graham of Norwood, MA. In addition to his wife of 62 years, Mary Ellen, he is survived by his five children: Renée Graham (Holliston, MA), Peter (Monica) Graham Jr. (Cary, NC), Jeff (Renee) Graham (Cincinnati), Matt Graham (Cincinnati), Evanne “Anne” Marie Graham (Cincinnati), and by his eight grandchildren: Stephanie Merlino Barr (Henry), Andrew Merlino (Julia Fischer), Margaret ‘Meg’ Merlino, Peter Graham III (Brianne), Nicolas Graham (Kylie), Sofia Graham, Fritz Graham, and Beck Graham. He is further survived by his brother Paul (Tammy) Graham (Atlanta) and sister Mary Ann (Peter) Brooks (Wilmington, NC) and by many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Visitation with the family will take place on Thursday, August 22nd at 10:00AM followed by a funeral mass at 11:00AM, both at The Bellarmine Chapel on the Xavier University Campus, 3801 Francis Xavier Way, Cincinnati, Ohio 45207.
