TO SERVE AND PROTECT
As Bob reaches heaven
Gods holding the gate
No masks needed here
And a hug would be great
Puts his arm around Bob
And walks him inside
Son I’m proud of you
You had a hell of a ride
You and Marty
Were an inseparable match
Social distanced never
She was quite the catch
Though her memory faded
Her love never died
She appreciated the simple
Adored being your bride
You were her “Belleman”
You handled the load
Laughed at her silliness
wore what she sewed
Norwood your home
Family your grace
Hard work and integrity
You always embraced
Blessed with grandkids
That are amazing and grand
And family trips to the beach
Filled your hourglass of sand
To Serve and Protect
That’s what you believed
You made a great life
With all you achieved
A Brotherhood with Keith
A Traveler with Ken
Karen Your shining star
And Colleen your comedian J
Your kids they adored you
They honored your name
They respect what you stood for
you deserve their acclaim
Their gratitude unending
Their stories a hoot
The memories are priceless
The pictures …a tribute
It didn’t take a detective
To know what they need
You loved them all
You planted the seed
6 feet apart no longer
No more rules to adhere
Forever in their hearts
You’ll always be near
To “serve and protect”
That is what you’d do
God hands him his wings
Said your job is not through
Stay close to them all
And watch from above
With your quiet demeanor
Let them feel your love
